- Iowa State looks to win its third consecutive game, and second on the road, when it travels to face TCU Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth...the Cyclones have won six in a row against the Horned Frogs...ISU is in the midst of a span of games that sees the Cyclones facing top-10 teams in four of five games...after TCU, ISU plays three in a row against top-10 teams.
- ISU is coming off one of the biggest wins in school history, an 82-77 win against top-ranked Oklahoma on Monday...it was just the second win against a No. 1 team in school history and it got the Cyclones back to .500 (3-3) in league play.
- ISU has won 20 games against ranked opponents in the last three seasons, tied for the most nationally in that time...ISU has 21 total losses in that span...six of ISU's final 13 games are against currently ranked teams.
- The Cyclones are ranked No. 19 in this week's Associated Press poll...the Cyclones have been ranked in a school-record 47 consecutive polls...ISU is No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
- Georges Niang, who is on the Wooden Award Midseason Top-25 list, is leading the Cyclones in scoring with 19.7 points per game, which is second among Big 12 players and 32nd nationally....he's been even better in Big 12 play, averaging 21.5 points and shooting 54.2 percent from the field...Niang is the leading active scorer in the Big 12 (1,865), which also ranks fifth in ISU history and 13th in Big 12 history...he needs 24 points to pass Sherron Collins (KU) on the Big 12 list... he has scored in double figures in 27 consecutive games, including 20 or more points in six of the last nine games....Niang is the winningest player in school history (89 wins).
- Iowa State has had six different players score 20 or more points in a game this season...the Cyclones are sixth nationally and lead the Big 12 shooting 50.1 percent from the field...three players (McKay, Morris, Niang) rank among the top-70 players nationally in field-goal percentage.
- The Cyclones are eighth nationally and second in the Big 12 averaging 85.0 points...ISU has slowed down its offense a bit in the last two games, but is still averaging 79 points in the two wins.

- Matt Thomas has been solid since Naz Mitrou-Long was shut down for the season...since moving into the starting five, Thomas is averaging 11.8 points and shooting 39.7 percent from 3-point range...he's hit his last 11 free throws and is shooting 86.7 percent from the line (13-15).
- Abdel Nader recorded his fourth 20-point game of the season against Oklahoma (20 points on 5-10 shooting)...he has been in double figures in 13 of 18 games this season and is posting 12.9 points and 5.7 rebounds...in the last two games, Nader is averaging 17 points and shooting 57.9 percent from the field.
- Deonte Burton, who captured back-to-back Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors after becoming eligible, has been at his best on the road...Burton is averaging 12.3 points and shooting 60.6 percent from the field away from Hilton Coliseum, connecting on 5-of-9 threes in those games.

- ISU has been to a school-record four consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
- The Cyclones have won back-to-back Big 12 Tournament titles, just the fourth school to win consecutive titles.
- ISU has bettered its preseason Big 12 prediction four consecutive seasons...ISU was picked third in this season's preseason poll.
- The Cyclones have won at least 11 league games in each of the last four seasons, which is a school record.
- ISU has won 34 regular season home games in a row against nonconference opponents...the Cyclones have won 31 of their last 33 games at home, including 17 of 19 league games...only Baylor has beat the Cyclones at home during this stretch.

- Three Cyclones scored 20 or more points, led by Niang's 22 points (0 points in first 10 minutes of the game)...Nader and Morris added 20 points, while Thomas also reached double figures with 12 points.
- McKay's energy dominated the paint, finishing with 13 rebounds and four blocks...McKay had 18 deflections in the game, according to the coaching staff's count.
- Morris hit the go-ahead jumper with about 21 seconds left and ISU was able to hold off the Sooners down the stretch.
