Pierson Invited To NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State's All-Big 12 defensive end Dale Pierson has been invited to participate in the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, Jan. 23 at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl was established in 2012 and has already gained a reputation as one of the premiere post-season all-star games for draft-eligible college football players. Pierson is the third Cyclone to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, joining Jeremiah George (2014) and Tom Farniok (2015).
A native of Bakersfield, Calif., Pierson was named Second-Team All-Big 12 in his senior season for the Cyclones.
Pierson tied Iowa State's record for sacks in a season with 8.5 and led all ISU down linemen with 41 tackles. His 8.5 sacks ranked third in the Big 12.
He also ranked second on the team and 10th in the Big 12 in TFL with 12.5.
