AMES, Iowa – Johnny Majors is one of the most revered coaches in Iowa State history. The College Football Hall-of-Famer and Iowa State Hall-of-Famer turned around the Iowa State football program in the early 1970s, leading the Cyclones to their first-ever bowl berth in 1971.
Majors, who compiled a 185-137-10 record in an extraordinary 29-year head coaching career, is back in Ames this weekend to reunite with his former Cyclone players. He sat down with John Walters in our recent CyCast.
