- ISU hits the road to face West Virginia in its third Big Monday game of the season...the Cyclones are looking to win their 20th game for the fifth season in a row...it would also be the fifth time in five years as head coach that Steve Prohm coached his team to 20 wins...the only other active Big 12 coach to win 20 games in their first five years as a head coach is Shaka Smart.
- ISU has had three players score 20 or more points in the last two games...Monté Morris has dished out 11 assists in back-to-back games and the Cyclones' have hit 11 threes in the last two games.
- The Cyclones have wins against the teams currently ranked No. 2 (Kansas), No. 3 (Oklahoma) and No. 4 (Iowa) in the AP top-10...ISU has won 22 games against ranked opponents in the last three seasons, which is second nationally in that time...ISU owns six wins against the RPI top-50.

- Morris, a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, continues to be a rock for the Cyclones, leading the Big 12 in assists (7.3) and assist-to-turnover ratio (4.8)...he is also third in steals (1.9)...no player has ever led the league in all three stat categories in a season...Morris already owns two of the top-three assist-to-turnover ratios in NCAA history and is third nationally this season...Morris has 52 assists and 10 turnovers in the last six games...he is on pace to break Jeff Hornacek's single-season assist per game mark of 6.8.
- Against TCU, Morris joined Hornacek and Diante Garrett as the only players in school history to record 1,000 points, 500 assists and 150 steals.
- Deonte Burton is averaging 15.6 points and shooting 55.2 percent from the field since moving into the starting lineup five games ago...Burton grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and matched his high with 23 points against TCU, recording the first double-double of his three-year career.
- Matt Thomas has hit a three-pointer in 17 consecutive games...he is second in the Big 12 averaging 2.4 threes made per game and is shooting 42.8 percent from behind the arc (sixth in Big 12)...ISU is 10-0 when Thomas scores at least 12 points as a starter.

The Cyclones shot 65.4 percent in the second half and 54.2 percent from the game...ISU assisted on 24 of 32 field goals, led by Morris' 11 assists.
The Cyclones hit 17-of-20 free throws in the win.
Series Notes vs. West Virginia...
Iowa State and West Virginia had never met prior to the Mountaineers joining the Big 12 in 2012-13...the Cyclones lead the all-time series 5-1, including 2-1 in Morgantown.

West Virginia won the first meeting this season in Ames, downing ISU 81-76 despite the Cyclones holding a lead for nearly 27 minutes...Niang led the Cyclones with 20 points and Nader chipped in 19 for the Cyclones...Morris had 10 assists and no turnovers to go along with nine points and three steals.
