• ISU returns to Big 12 action when it faces nationally-ranked West Virginia at home Tuesday evening...the Cyclones look to beat the Mountaineers for the first time since the 2014-15 season after being swept last season...Tuesday is also Deonte Burton's 23rd birthday.

• ISU has suffered seven losses, with four of them coming to teams (Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga, Cincinnati) that are ranked in the top-20, including three in the top-10, and own a combined record of 78-5...ISU has lost those four games by a total of 9 points...the Cyclones' other three losses have come on the road.
• Iowa State is one of seven schools that hasn't suffered a 15-point loss since the start of the 2015-16 season (under Steve Prohm)...the streak actually dates back to 2013-14 (102 games)...since beginning of 2014-15, only four schools haven't lost by 15+ points.
• ISU ranks among KenPom.com's top 50 in both adjusted offensive efficiency (44) and defensive efficiency (24)...in the KenPom era (since 2001-02), its the best defensive efficiency since 2005 (10)...the Cyclones are No. 27 in KenPom's rankings.

• ISU continues to rank among the nation's top teams in taking care of the basketball...the Cyclones average 10.1 turnovers per game, which leads the Big 12 and is sixth nationally...ISU's turnover percentage of 13.8 ranks second nationally...ISU's turnover margin (+5.6) is third nationally...ISU has had fewer turnovers than its opponents in 18 of 20 games.
• In conference action, ISU leads the Big 12 with 9.4 three-pointers made per game...the Cyclones are shooting 37.5 percent behind the arc as a team in league play...ISU hit 11 threes against Kansas State, seven of which came from Matt Thomas...Thomas finished 7-for-10 behind the arc and finished with a career-high 25 points...Thomas has hit 11-of-16 threes the last two games and is averaging 19.5 points in that stretch.

• Nazareth Mitrou-Long (211) and Thomas (214) have both surpassed 200 career 3-pointers made...this season, Thomas and Mitrou-Long have combined for 98 made threes.
• Thomas is 23 points shy of 1,000 for his career...he would be the 34th player in school history to reach the milestone, joining teammates Morris and Mitrou-Long.
• Tuesday's game will feature two of the league's top teams in steals...ISU averages a league-best 9.9 steals in conference play, while West Virginia is third at 8.8 takeaways per contest.
• Burton has 17 blocks (2.4 per game) and 15 steals (2.1) in the last seven games.

Last Time Out - Threes Doom Iowa State At Vanderbilt
• Vanderbilt hit 13 three-pointers to rally from 11 points down in the first half and defeat Iowa State, 84-78, Saturday in Nashville in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
• The loss came on a history making day for Morris, who broke the school record with his 666th career assist...Morris had a terrific day, tallying 25 points, three assists, two steals and zero turnovers...it was his 44th career game without a miscue.
• Thomas (14) and Burton (13) were also in double figures, while Jackson came off the bench to match his career-high with 16 points...Burton tallied 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double this season.
