Campos Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior offensive lineman Jake Campos was named to the Academic All-District 6 Football team, announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
CoSIDA annually recognizes the top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
All Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot announced in December.
A native of West Des Moines, Iowa, Campos was named a team co-captain and is one of Iowa State's leaders on the offensive line.
Campos has started all 10 games this year and has 33 starts in his career. The Cyclones are averaging 31.7 points per game and registered a school-record-tying five 40-point games behind Campos' blocking.
Campos, who holds a 3.56 GPA in Biological Systems Engineering, is a three-time First-Team Academic All-Big 12 recipient, a member of the Wuerffel Award watch list and was selected to the William V. Campbell watch list, an award given annually to the nation's best football student-athlete.
