Game #9 - Alcorn State
• Iowa State looks to improve to 7-2 and win its seventh consecutive game when it faces Alcorn State Sunday evening at Hilton Coliseum...a win would give ISU its second-longest win streak of the Steve Prohm era (9, 2015-16).
• After playing four of its first five games on the road, Iowa State is in the midst of playing eight consecutive games inside Iowa's borders, including seven of the games at Hilton Coliseum...the lone neutral site game will be Dec. 16 when the Cyclones face Northern Iowa in Des Moines at the Hy-Vee Classic.

• ISU, which owns the third-longest active winning streak in the Big 12, has now posted three winning streaks of at least six games in the third season under Steve Prohm...Prohm's .679 winning percentage is the best in school history...he is two victories shy of entering the top-10 for coaching wins at Iowa State.
• Iowa State has leaned on its guard trio of Nick Weiler-Babb, Donovan Jackson and Lindell Wigginton to turn around its early season struggles...the trio is averaging a combined 46.6 points per game, which is 59.8 percent of ISU's total points...they've posted all nine of ISU's 20-point games and five of the team's six double-doubles this season.Â
• Weiler-Babb has proven to be the point guard the Cyclones were looking for since moving into the role of primary ball handler at the start of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off...he earned tournament MVP honors and was named Big 12 Player of the Week for his performance in Myrtle Beach...he is the only player in the nation averaging at least 13.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 7.0 apg...he's recorded four double-doubles, one points-rebounds and three points-assists...his four consecutive games with double-digit assists is the best streak in school history...since moving to the primary point guard he has 57 assists and just 11 turnovers (5.2 A/TO ratio)...he is averaging 7.8 assists per game, which would be a school record.
• Weiler-Babb's 7.8 assists per game rank fifth nationally and his 3.44 assist-to-turnover ratio is 21st nationally...in ISU's six-game winning streak, he is averaging 14.3 ppg (16th in Big 12 in that stretch), 7.7 rpg (5th) and 9.5 apg (1st).
• Wigginton is one of just five players nationally to post two games this season with at least 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and four made threes...he's scored 20 points in three consecutive games, matching Marcus Fizer and Ron Harris for the school record...no player has done it four consecutive games...his 73 points through three games trails only Ron Harris' 74 points during the 1980-81 season.
• In the last six games, Jackson is averaging 20.2 points...the Milwaukee native is one of four players in the nation shooting 40 percent behind arc (at least 25 made threes) and 95 percent at the line (at least 20 made).
• During its six-game winning streak, ISU has increased its scoring average by 27.0 points (57.5 to 84.5), its field-goal percentage by nearly 10 percent (38.8% to 47.4%)...ISU also shot just 26.5 percent (9-34) from long range the first two games and has connected at a 39.5 percent clip (60-152) the last six games...in the second half of games during the winning streak, ISU is hitting 44.1 percent of its 3-pointers.
• Freshman Terrence Lewis has provided the Cyclones with a spark off the bench, averaging 9.7 points and making 7-of-9 free throws the last three games.

Last Time Out: Cyclones Outlast Hawkeyes For Sixth-Straight Win
• Iowa State got 51 points from the outstanding perimeter trio of Wigginton (24), Weiler-Babb (15) and Jackson (12) as it rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to defeat Iowa, 84-78, Thursday night in an Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series matchup at Hilton Coliseum.
• Wigginton's 24 points against the Hawks were the most by a Cyclone player since 2013 (Georges Niang).
• The Cyclones held a 28-9 edge in points off turnovers to overcome a 53-31 deficit in rebounding.
• Weiler-Babb had his fourth consecutive double-digit assist game, againt posting a double-double and narrowly missing a triple-double with 15 points, 10 assists and six rebounds...he also had four steals.
