• Iowa State searches for its fourth Big 12 road win this season when it travels to Texas for a Tuesday showdown...a win would give ISU four Big 12 road wins for the seventh time in 20 seasons...ISU is looking to win in Austin for just the third time in 15 tries.

• Iowa State rallied from 15 points down to drop then-No. 3 Kansas, 92-89, in overtime...the win snapped a 51-game win streak at Allen Fieldhouse and was ISU's first since 2005 in Lawrence...ISU hit a school-record 18 three-pointers in the win...it was also the most by any team at Allen Fieldhouse.
• Of ISU's eight losses, five of them have been to teams (Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga, Cincinnati, West Virginia) that are ranked in the top-20, including four in the top-10, and own a combined record of 102-13...those five losses have been by an average of 4.4 points...the Cyclones' other three losses have come on the road.
• Iowa State is one of six schools that hasn't suffered a 15-point loss since the start of the 2015-16 season (under Steve Prohm)...the streak actually dates back to 2013-14 (104 games)...since beginning of 2014-15, only four schools haven't lost by 15+ points.
• ISU ranks among KenPom.com's top 40 in both adjusted offensive efficiency (39) and defensive efficiency (24)...in the KenPom era (since 2001-02), its the best defensive efficiency since 2005 (10)...the Cyclones are No. 26 in KenPom's rankings.
• ISU ranks among the nation's top-20 teams in steals per game (8.6)...Monté Morris has 18 steals the last nine game and Deonte Burton has 24...five Cyclones have at least 10 steals in that stretch.
• Burton was named Big 12 Player of the Week after he scored 29 points at Kansas (7-9 3FG), including 19 after halftime...he has four games with 27 points or more...he has 19 blocks (2.1 per game) and 24 steals (2.7) in the last nine games...Burton leads ISU in steals (42) & blocks (31) this season and is aiming to become the first Cyclone to do so since Royce White (2011-12).
• ISU continues to rank among the nation's top teams in taking care of the basketball...the Cyclones average 10.4 turnovers per game, which leads the Big 12 and is sixth nationally...ISU's turnover percentage of 14.2 ranks second nationally...ISU's turnover margin (+5.5) is third nationally...ISU has had fewer turnovers than its opponents in 19 of 22 games.
• Matt Thomas is four points shy of 1,000 for his career...he would be the 34th player in school history to reach the milestone, joining teammates Morris and Nazareth Mitrou-Long...the group would be the first trio of Cyclone teammates to all have 1,000 points concurrently since Fred Hoiberg, Julius Michalik and Loren Meyer (1992-95).
• Morris had 25 points at Kansas and has been at his best since the schedule flipped to Big 12 play...in league, Morris is leading the Cyclones with 17.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game...he is second nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (5.17)...Morris broke Jeff Hornacek's career assist record and is nine steals shy of his career mark as well.
• Mitrou-Long (219) and Thomas (219) have both surpassed 200 career 3-pointers made...this season, Thomas and Mitrou-Long have combined for 111 made threes, the most among Big 12 teammates.
• Donovan Jackson has provided a spark for the Cyclones off the bench, averaging 12.3 points the last three games...Jackson has hit 9-of-16 threes and grabbed five steals in that time...first Cyclone to score double-digits in three consecutive games off the bench since Burton did so in Dec.-Jan. of 2015-16.

Iowa State-Texas Series Notes
• Iowa State and Texas are meeting for the 35th time in series history, with Texas holding an 18-16 edge... the Cyclones have won six of the last seven games in the series...UT leads 12-2 in Austin...ISU's only wins in Austin came in 2005 and 2015...two of the last four games in Austin have went to overtime, with UT winning in double overtime in 2013 and single OT in 2016.
• ISU won this season's first meeting on Jan. 7...ISU jumped out to a 40-31 lead at the half and went on to win by the same margin (79-70)...Morris posted a 22 point-10 rebound double-double and Burton was dominant in a 27-point performance...the Cyclones forced 10 UT turnovers in the opening period and 19 overall.

Last Time Out - Cyclones Rally To Stun Jayhawks
• Iowa State rallied from 15 points down in the first half to defeat Kansas, 92-89, in overtime and end the Jayhawks 51-game win streak at Allen Fieldhouse...with the win, ISU has beaten KU four times in Lawrence during the Big 12 era (1997-2017)...all other league teams have combined for six such wins, an no other school has more than one.
• ISU is the first school to beat a Bill Self-led squad twice at Allen Fieldhouse.
• The Cyclones had three players score 20+ points in a game for the first time this season: Burton (29), Morris (25) and Mitrou-Long (22).
