AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Athletics will offer a number of fan interaction opportunities at the 2017 Cyclone Gridiron Club Spring Game on Saturday, April 8 in Jack Trice Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. and admission is free.
Iowa State head football coach Matt Campbell and the ISU Letterwinners Club will again welcome back a number of former Cyclone legends on the gridiron to be a part of the weekend activities. Scheduled to make their return to Ames are David Archer, Reggie Hayward, George Amundson, Leonard Johnson, Todd Blythe and Lane Danielsen.
In addition to catching an early glimpse of the 2017 football team, the new football schedule posters will be available for fans to pick up at designated tables on the northeast concourse inside the stadium. The Iowa State ticket office will be open from Noon – 1 p.m.
Cy's Locker Room will have a huge sale located on the north side of the stadium on Cyclone merchandise from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Items will be offered as low as $5.
Fans can enter Jack Trice Stadium through Gates 1 and 3 beginning at Noon. Seating is limited to the east side only. Parking is available on a first come, first serve basis in all A, B, C and D lots.
The Cyclone Gridiron Club Spring Game will also have an enhanced fan experience with the events below:
Cyclone Experience: A free area for kids with inflatables and games will be open from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on the Jacobson Plaza of the east concourse inside Jack Trice Stadium (just outside the Jack Trice Club).
Cyclone Gridiron Club Tailgate: The Cyclone Gridiron Club will host its annual tailgate for all Cyclone fans from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., just north of the Jacobson Athletic Building. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students in high school or younger, and free to fans who sign up for Cyclone Gridiron Club (Pigskin level or higher) membership at the event. Price of admission will include a meal and beverages. The tailgate offers a great chance to meet former ISU players and head coach Matt Campbell, who will speak to the attendees at Noon. Cyclone Market: Held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Jack Trice Stadium's north parking lots, fans can come hear live music, eat food and buy products made by students. The event will help student organizations fundraise for the upcoming year while promoting their missions at Cyclone Market.
