Budai Ranked In Top-100 by ITA

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior Sami Budai was ranked the No. 100 player by ITA in Division 1 women tennis in the poll released Tuesday afternoon.

Budai, a London, Ontario native, is 12-3 in singles play during the 2016-2017 season. During the duals season, she is 6-1 in singles play during the dual season. Budai is currently 8-5 in doubles play with Maty Cancini. She has played a main role in the Cyclones' eight match win streak while being in the top spot in both singles and doubles.

Budai became just the second Cyclone to earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors last week. The Cyclones will look to continue their win streak this weekend against Wyoming and West Virginia in Urbandale, Iowa at Life Time Fitness.
