Volleyball Returns to Hilton Coliseum on Saturday

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team will be back in Hilton Coliseum this weekend for the Iowa State Spring Volleyball Tournament. Action begins at 10 a.m., and admission to the event will be free.
The full tournament schedule is as follows:
Court 1 (Hilton East)
10 a.m. – Iowa State vs. Omaha
11:15 a.m. – Iowa State vs. North Dakota
1:30 p.m. – Iowa State vs. UNI
Court 2 (Hilton West)
10 a.m. – UNI vs. North Dakota
11:15 a .m. – UNI vs. Omaha
1:30 p.m. – Omaha vs. North Dakota
The doors to Hilton Coliseum will open at 9:30 a.m., with the South Entrance and the Lower West Entrance being where fans can enter. Matches will consist of three sets, the first two to the standard 25 points, the third set to 15 points.
Heading into the second of three weeks of competition, Iowa State will continue to work on a variety of formations and lineups. Fans will get their lone chance of the spring to see newcomers Josie Herbst and Piper Mauck in action. Herbst led the Iowa State attack at UNI last weekend with 27 kills across the four matches, while fellow pin hitters Genesis Miranda (21 kills, .313 hitting percentage) and Hannah Bailey (15, .321) also impressed.
