Iowa State worked with a variety of lineups on the day, including playing a 5-1 with Monique Harris at setter, a 5-1 with Piper Mauck and a 6-2 with both getting in on the action. With Jess Schaben out recovering from off-season surgery, the Cyclones had to improvise on the pins, with Alexis Conaway and Grace Lazard getting time playing all six rotations.

Genesis Miranda had a strong day, with 21 kills at a .313 hitting percentage, while Hannah Bailey posted 15 kills at a .321 hitting clip.
