AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University will partner with Hy-Vee on Saturday to aid the victims of the flooding in Texas.
Hy-Vee will provide a truck, which will be located on South Fourth Street from 2-6:30 p.m., for fans attending the ISU-UNI game to donate non-perishable items (bottled water), toiletries (diapers, soap, blankets, pillows) and clothing.
Members of the Iowa State Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will assist with the collection of items.
Hy-Vee will also send four semi trucks of bottled water to Texas on behalf of the Iowa State Athletics Department.
"I can't thank Randy Edeker enough for Hy-Vee's leadership and logistics in helping us provide support for the victims in Texas," Iowa State Athletics Director Jamie Pollard said.
The Iowa State-UNI football game will kickoff at 7 p.m. (Sept. 2).
