• Iowa State looks to win back-to-back games when it faces Texas Monday night in Austin...the Longhorns won the season's first matchup, rallying from eight down in the second half to force overtime and earn the victory, 74-70...the Cyclones led that game for nearly 26:00 minutes.

• Iowa State earned its second Big 12 win Saturday at Hilton Coliseum, downing Texas Tech, 70-52...it was ISU's largest margin of victory ever against an AP Top 10 foe...it also marked the fifth-straight season and sixth in the last seven that the Cyclones have defeated a top-10 team..under Steve Prohm, ISU has won games against the top-10, third-most of any Cyclone coach.
• Redshirt freshman Cameron Lard is averaging 13.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.2 blocks in five career starts...he scored a game-high 18 points in ISU's upset of Texas Tech and has been in double figures in four of the games and nine of the last 10 games overall...for the season, Lard is averaging 12.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks, making him the only freshman nationally averaging 12-7-2...he has posted four double-doubles, which is the most by a Cyclone freshman since Melvin Ejim in 2010-11...Lard has 11 blocks in the last three games.
• Lindell Wigginton, a two-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honoree, is averaging 21.5 points in the last four outings...he's hit 50 percent behind the arc (15-30) during that stretch...second among Big 12 freshmen in scoring average (16.3), his seven 20-point efforts trail only Marcus Fizer and Curtis Stinson's freshman record of eight 20-point games...he's been in double in four-straight games...his 40 three-pointers made are tied for the third-most on ISU's freshman chart.
• Junior Nick Weiler-Babb is one of college basketball's most well-rounded players...a stat-sheet stuffer, Weiler-Babb is the only player nationally averaging at least 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists...he has seven double-doubles this season...he is one of just two players nationally with multiple double-doubles of both points-assists and points-rebounds...the only player in Big 12 history to record a 200 point-200 rebound-200 assist season as Weiler-Babb is on pace to do was former Cyclone All-American DeAndre Kane (2013-14)...he has 21 assists and five turnovers in the last three games.
• Weiler-Babb ranks sixth nationally averaging 7.4 assists per game and leads the Big 12 with a 2.8 a/to ratio, posting six double-digit assist games...with four complete games already this season, Weiler-Babb ranks fifth nationally and leads all Big 12 players averaging 37.8 minutes.
• Donovan Jackson is averaging 4.3 threes per game over the last six Cyclone outings....he became the 19th player in school history to make 100 three-pointers and currently has 105...Jackson has eight 20-point games this season, seven of which have seen him score at least 24 points...among Big 12 players, only OU's Trae Young has more games with at least 24 points...he has connected on 61 three-pointers this season...the Milwaukee native is 40-of-43 from the free-throw line, topping the Big 12 at 93 percent.
• ISU is one of four programs in the nation's top-6 leagues to have two freshmen averaging at least 11 points (10 games played minimum)...Alabama, Duke, Kentucky are the others...in conference play, ISU and Duke are the only two to have two rookies averaging 14 ppg.

• Iowa State and Texas are set to meet for the 37th time in the series...UT holds a 20-16 edge in the series, including 13-2 in games played in Austin...the Cyclones' last win in Austin came in 2015...ISU has won six of the last nine meetings in the series.
• In this season's first meeting, ISU led by as many as eight points late in regulation before UT rallied to force overtime and eventually win 74-70 on New Year's Day at Hilton Coliseum...Donovan Jackson had 24 points and Cameron Lard added 21 points and 16 rebounds...Nick Weiler-Babb had nine points, eight rebounds and nine assists.
• Lindell Wigginton and Texas' Matt Coleman were teammates at Oak Hill Academy...their team went 79-6 in their junior and senior seasons, winning the Dick's Sporting Goods National Championship in 2016.

Last Time Out: Cyclones Rout Texas Tech
• Iowa State put together a strong effort on both ends of the floor, holding Texas Tech to just 52 points on 33.9 percent shooting to beat the No. 8 Red Raiders, 70-52, Saturday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum...the 52 points were the fewest by a conference opponent since the regular season finale against Oklahoma State in 2016.
• The Cyclones had five players in double figures for just the second time this season and first in Big 12 play...Lard led all players with 18 points, while Young had a team-high nine rebounds...Jackson, Wigginton and Weiler-Babb had 13 points and Zoran Talley Jr. chipped in 11 points off the bench, which included his first 3-pointer of the season.
• It was ISU's seventh consecutive home win against Texas Tech.
