Iowa State Falls To No. 22 Tennessee, 68-45

AMES, Iowa – No. 22 Tennessee (15-5, 5-3 SEC) downed Iowa State (11-9, 2-6 Big 12) 68-45 Saturday afternoon in the Big 12/SEC Challenge in Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones couldn't recover from a cold spell where they scored just four points in a 13-minute span. ISU led 17-15 with 8:04 left in the first half before a 29-4 UT run put the game out of reach at 44-21 early in the second half.

ISU kept fighting, cutting a 23-point second-half deficit to 15 points. However, a season-low 33.3 percent clip from the field and a 7-of-17 effort (41.0 pct.) from the charity stripe ultimately doomed the Cyclones.

Lamonte Turner and James Daniel paced the Volunteers with 20 and 16 points, respectively.

Donovan Jackson led the Cyclones with 13 points, burying two treys to move to No. 15 on ISU's career 3-pointers made list with 109. Lindell Wigginton added nine points and Cameron Lard led the Cyclones with nine boards.

Donovan Jackson led the Cyclones with 13 points and had two 3-pointers to pace the Cyclones. Jackson now has 107 career treys to rank 15^th ISU's record list and his 65 3-pointers this season ties for 18^th on the Cyclones' season list.

Zoran Talley Jr. gave the Cyclones energy off the bench once again, tallying eight points (3-5 FG) and three caroms.
