MADISON, Wis. – The Iowa State women posted their second-consecutive top-20 result with a 15th-place finish at the 2018 NCAA Championships. Anne Frisbie led the chase for the Cyclones finishing 34th individually to earn All-America honors.
Iowa State hasn't posted back-to-back top-20 performances at the NCAA Championships since 2013-14 seasons.
Frisbie becomes Iowa State's 35th All American in school history with her top-40 finish. The senior ran the 6k race in 20:31.96 in her final cross country appearance as a Cyclone.
Sophomores Cailie Logue and Amanda Vestri both posted top-100 finishes at the Tom Zimmerman Championship Cross Country Course. Logue finished in 53rd with a time of 20:44.33, followed by Vestri in 90th in a time of 21:01.33.
Seniors Abby Caldwell and Kelly Naumann were the next Cyclones to cross the finish line. Caldwell posted a 148th-place finish with a 6k time of 21:25.72. Naumann crossed in a time of 21:37.32 for 173rd-place finish.
Sophomores Karly Ackley and Larkin Chapman rounded out the Cardinal and Gold lineup at the national finals. Ackley finished 196th with a time of 21:51.26 and Larkin Chapman finished 217th in a time of 22:08.3.
