WORTH NOTING
1. Iowa State is looking to start 2-0 for the third time in four years under Prohm and the sixth time in the last seven years.
2. ISU's 26-point win against Alabama State was larger than any by the Cyclones a season ago...ISU shared the rock in the season opener, assisting on 63 percent of its field goals.
3. Entering Friday's game, ISU has the top two players in the Big 12 Conference in field goal percentage: Tyrese Haliburton (83.3 percent), Michael Jacobson (77.8 percent).

LAST TIME OUT: CYCLONES BEAT ALABAMA STATE IN SEASON OPENER
• Iowa State had four players in double figures against Alabama State as it rolled to a 79-53 win Tuesday night in Hilton Coliseum...the 26-point win was ISU's largest since beating Mississippi Valley State by 28 points on Dec. 20, 2016...the 53 points allowed were ISU's fewest in an opener since the 2007-08 season (44 vs. Winston-Salem State).Â
• The Cyclones dished out 20 assists on 32 field goals against the Hornets, with five players posting three or more assists...Haliburton, Horton-Tucker and Weiler-Babb each led the way with four dimes.
• The Cyclones shot 54.8 percent in the second half, which included a 12-0 run with three freshmen (Conditt, Haliburton, Griffin) and two sophomores (Wigginton, Terrence Lewis) on the floor.
• Conditt and Haliburton led the Cyclones with impressive efforts on the defensive end...Conditt had a team-high four blocks in his debut, while Haliburton had four steals...it was the first game since the 2015 NCAA Tournament (UAB) that the Cyclones had players with four blocks and four steals in the same game.
• The Cyclones had 12 steals as a team and five blocks, marking just the fourth time since the 2011-12 season with 12 and 5 in the same game.
IOWA STATE-MISSOURI SERIES NOTES
• Iowa State and Missouri meet for the 235th time Friday night...it is tied for the second-longest series in program history for the Cyclones (Kansas-245; Nebraska-234)...Missouri owns a 150-84 edge in the series, but the Cyclones hold a 58-48 lead in games played in Ames (22-20 at Hilton Coliseum)...Mizzou has won the last 10 games in the series, a streak that dates back to March of 2008.
•  Iowa State and Missouri played every year except 1915 and 1927 in a 103-year stretch (1909-2012) prior to the Tigers leaving the Big 12 for the SEC in 2012...this is the Tigers first trip back to Ames since 2012.
• The games is the second half of a home-and-home series that started last season in Columbia...in that game, ISU fell 74-59...Mizzou shot 52.9 percent from the field, making 10 three-pointers...Weiler-Babb led the Cyclones with 14 points and five assists...Zoran Talley Jr. (11) and Lindell Wigginton (10) were also in double figures for the Cyclones...Kevin Puryear (17) led the Tigers.
• Iowa State's Talen Horton-Tucker and Missouri's Xavier Pinson were teammates at Chicago's Simeon Academy for one year...Horton-Tucker and Tiger freshman Torrence Watson have been close friends since middle school.
• Missouri assistant coach Cornell Mann was an assistant on Fred Hoiberg's staff at Iowa State from 2011-15 where he helped coach the Cyclones to four NCAA Tournament berths.
• ISU is 108-178 all time against teams currently in the SEC.
• Steve Prohm is 0-1 all time against Missouri and Cuonzo Martin.
