AMES, Iowa – Iowa State sophomore guard Lindell Wigginton has been selected to attend the prestigious 2018 Nike Basketball Academy and the Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp.
Wigginton will start out at the Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp Aug. 1-4 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as one of 20 college guards selected.
The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native will then attend the Nike Basketball Academy at the Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California from Aug. 8-12.
Wigginton, the Big 12's top returning scorer after averaging 16.7 points per game as a freshman, earned All-Big 12 honorable mention and Big 12 All-Newcomer honors last season. He set Iowa State freshman records for points per game, 20-point games (13) and 3-pointers made (69).
He was just the eighth freshman in Big 12 history to score 300 points in league play (318) and he finished the season averaging 22.3 points the last four games. Wigginton also averaged 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Wigginton leads an ISU offense that returns better than 70 percent of its scoring from a year ago.
