MARIBOR, Slovenia – Jess Schaben has been with the USA Volleyball Collegiate National Team for the past five days in Europe, and will now begin competition with the 2018 Global Challenge from July 10-13 in Pula, Croatia.
The tournament will feature five preliminary matches, following which the teams will be ranked for championship round matches on the final two days. Schaben and the Collegiate National Team's preliminary round schedule is below.

Tuesday, July 10

Schaben and the Collegiate National Team have been based at the Draš Center in Maribor, Slovenia since arrival, participating in training and practices along with a pair of matches over the weekend against the Croatia U23 National Team. On Saturday, the two teams split four sets 2-2 (21-25, 26-24, 25-21, 21-25), while Sunday saw the USA prevail 3-1 (19-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-22).
Schaben started in two sets in each match, with the match on Sunday seeing her lead the team with a pair of aces. She also had four kills in Sunday's win over Croatia.
