Cyclones Cruise Past Costa Rican National Team, 91-41

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica – The Iowa State women's basketball team won game two in Costa Rica against the Costa Rican National Team, 91-41. Iowa State was led by freshman Morgan Kane, who finished the night with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Iowa State jumped out to a 23-4 first quarter lead and never looked back as the Cyclones cruised past the Costa Rican National team. Iowa State would extend its lead to 52-19 at the half. Madison Wise led the Cyclones in the first half with 11 points after going 5-for-8 from the floor. Jade Thurmon added five assists, while Adriana Camber added five boards.
In total, five Cyclones finished in double figures including Kane, Inès Nezerwa (16), Ashley Joens (12), Thurmon (12) and Wise (11). The Cyclones finished the night shooting 52.4 percent from the floor and 81.8 percent from the free throw line.
Iowa State will play its last game of the foreign tour on Monday at 3 p.m. CT against the University of Ottawa. The game will be televised on Facebook Live on the Costa Rica Sports Consultants page.
