AMES, Iowa – The No. 5 Iowa State men's cross country team and the No. 17 women's cross country team are headed to Madison, Wisc., where they'll race against the field at the 2018 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, Sept. 28.
On the men's side, 18 of the nation's top-30 programs will be in attendance while 15 of the top-30 teams will be in competition.

11 a.m. - Women's 6K "B" Race
11:40 a.m. – Men's 8K "B" Race
12:20 p.m. – Women's 6K Championship Race
1 p.m. – Men's 8K Championship Race
Cyclone Notebook
-Friday's race will be one of three times this season that Iowa State will get to see the Wisconsin's Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. It will also be the host site of Pre Nationals on Oct. 13, as well as the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17
-Both the men's and women's programs are ranked No. 1 in the Midwest Regional Rankings, as well as the Big 12 conference. The men are currently ranked No. 5 nationally, while the women are tabbed No. 17 in the national polls.
-In their first races of the year, both the Iowa State men and women picked up victories at the Hawkeye Invitational.
-The men posted a perfect score of 15 in Iowa City behind seven, top-7 performances. For the second straight season, Festus Lagat won the individual crown.
-The women were led by All-Big 12 performer Abby Caldwell, who finished runner-up individually. In total, seven Cardinal and Gold runners finished in the top-10.
