• Iowa State held USM to 0-for-16 shooting behind the arc and 33.3 percent shooting from the field on Tuesday night to win 73-45...it matched the fewest points allowed by a Cyclone squad under Steve Prohm.
• ISU was led by Solomon Young's 14 points...he was joined in double figures by Prentiss Nixon (13) and Haliburton (12)...Haliburton also had nine assists and three steals.
• The Cyclones got to the line a season-high 30 times, making 22 free throws...Haliburton had a career-high six free throw attempts, making five.
IOWAÂ STATE-MICHIGAN SERIESÂ NOTES
• Iowa State and Michigan are meeting for the 11th time, with the overall series tied at 5-5...the Cyclones won the previous meeting, upsetting No. 7 Michigan, 77-70, in a 2013 showdown at Hilton Coliseum...the teams have played two neutral site games with each winning once.
• In the last meeting, nine of the 18 players that saw action ended up playing in the NBA...the leading scorer for the Cyclones was Melvin Ejim (22 pts), who has enjoyed a successful career overseas.
