Jacobson Named CoSIDA Academic All-District 6

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State redshirt junior Michael Jacobson has been named as one of five student-athletes to the NCAA Division I Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 first team, announced today by CoSIDA.

Jacobson, a Waukee, Iowa native, owns a 3.80 GPA as a finance major. On the court, he has started all 26 games for the Cyclones and is fourth on the team averaging 11.8 points per game. He is shooting 58.8 percent from the field, which ranks third among Big 12 players. He is also 12^th in the league and first on the team pulling down 5.8 rebounds per game.

Jacobson has scored in double figures in 16 games this season, including a season-high 23 points against Illinois at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational.

He and his Cyclone teammates return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. when they travel to face TCU. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
