LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Iowa State women's basketball senior Bridget Carleton was named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top-20 List, the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced Monday night.
Carleton, who is leading the Big 12 with 20.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game, has the Cyclones ranked No. 22 in the AP poll. Carleton is also named to the Cheryl Miller Award, Naismith Trophy Midseason list and a Senior CLASS Award nominee.
The Chatham, Ontario, Canada, native also ranks fourth in Iowa State history with 1,833 career points, while her 16.5 points per game scoring average sits in second in school history. Carleton also ranks third in blocked shots (110), fourth in steals (182), third in free-throw percentage (84.7) and fifth in free throws made (390).
The late season top-20 list is comprised of 20 student-athletes who are currently front-runners for the Wooden Award and for the John R. Wooden Award All-America Team. Wooden Award voters will announce 10 finalists following the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
