WORTH NOTING
1. Iowa State enters the weekend a half-game behind Kansas State for first place in the Big 12 Conference.
2. Saturday's game will be a Fight for Literacy Game sponsored by International Paper...the goal is to connect Cyclone fans to the issue of illiteracy in our community and help kids at Raising Readers in Story County...the ISU and TCU staffs will wear Coaching for Literacy's green tie, lapel pin and wrist band.
3. ISU is 11-1 at Hilton Coliseum this season.
4. Marial Shayok was named Wednesday to the Julius Erving Award Top-10...he is the second-best scorer in the Big 12 at 19.1 points per game, scoring 17 points in 19 of 23 games this season.
5. ISU is looking to improve to 8-3 through 11 conference games, which would be one of the top starts in school history...only five other Cyclone teams have started at least 8-3 in conference action with the last being the 2001 team.

LAST TIME OUT: CYCLONES HANG ON FOR ROAD WIN AT OKLAHOMA
• Iowa State overcame a halftime deficit and was able to hold off Oklahoma, 75-74, Monday evening in Norman...the Cyclones had five players in double figures, led by Wigginton (18) and Shayok (16)...Shayok also had eight rebounds and a career-high matching five assists.
• Haliburton (11) was in double figures for the first time since scoring 14 points against Kansas on Jan. 5...Jacobson (10) and Horton-Tucker (11) also tallied double-digits.
• ISU was +5 on the glass, outrebounding its first Big 12 opponent in the last six games...the Cyclones improved to 3-3 when trailing at the half...they have now won two of their last three games in Norman.
