CyCast: Jeff Joniak

AMES, Iowa – Jeff Joniak is entering his 19^th season as the radio play-by-play voice of the Chicago Bears.

The Arlington Heights, Ill., native grew up in the Chicago area, but the spark he received to pursue a career in broadcast journalism occurred as a student at Iowa State.

The 1984 Iowa State graduate honed his skills working for the ISU student radio station and WOI-TV, calling and covering numerous Cyclone sporting events during his time in Ames.

John Walters recently sat down with Joniak for our latest CyCast to discuss his career and the excitement surrounding the latest Bear draft pick in All-American David Montgomery.
