AMES, Iowa - The 2019 Iowa State volleyball season is almost here, and Saturday will offer fans their first chance to see the Cyclones in action with the Cardinal and Gold Scrimmage, at Hilton Coliseum at 1 p.m. Admission to this exhibition match will be free.
Fans attending the match can enter at any of the regular entrances: North, South, Lower West and Upper West. With this being a non-ticketed event, the Ticket Office entrance on the Southwest corner will not be open. Parking pass rules will not be enforced until the regular season. There will be no live video or live stats for the match.
The Cyclones are wrapping up their first week of practices. Saturday will be the first opportunity for fans to check out the seven newcomers to the Cyclone volleyball program. Junior middle blocker Candelaria Herrera will be returning from her summer with the Argentina National Team on Saturday morning and will not play.
The Iowa State volleyball team will open the 2019 season at the Rebel Invitational hosted by Ole Miss, with a match against UCF on Saturday, Aug. 30. The Cyclones' first regular season home match will be on Tuesday, Sept. 3 against South Dakota at Hilton Coliseum.
