-Baylor leads the all-time series at 9-8 and the Cyclones have won the last two in the series. The Cyclones are seeking their first win in a conference-opener since 2015 (Kansas, 38-13).Â
-Iowa State recorded one of its finest offensive performances in school history on Saturday in a 72-20 victory over ULM. The Cyclones set a school mark in total offense (714) and their 72 points is third-most in school history and the most scored since 1906.
-After turning the ball over on its first two possessions, the Cyclones scored on their next 11 possessions, including a school-record 45 points in the second half.Â
-Iowa State, Oklahoma and Washington are the only "power 5" schools to avoid a loss of over 14 points in the last three seasons. ISU's worst loss since 2017 was a 24-10 setback at Texas in 2018.Â
-After beginning his ISU tenure at 1-8, head coach Matt Campbell has climbed over the .500 mark (21-20) in his Cyclone coaching career. He is 20-12 in the last 32 games.Â
-The Cyclone defense has been a stingy unit. In their first three games, the Cyclone defenders have only allowed four offensive touchdowns in regulation play, tying for seventh in the nation.Â
-In regulation through the first three games, the Cyclone defense is giving up a mere 17.0 points per game.Â
-The Cyclone offense has only one true 3-and-out this season, ranking second nationally: 0- Navy (2 games), 1-Iowa State (3 games), 2-Washington State (4 games).Â
-ISU has gained at least 20 yards in 30 of 37 drives this season (UNI, 8/10; Iowa 10/13; ULM 12/14).Â
