1. Iowa State is 11-12 all-time in Big 12 Conference openers...the Cyclones won last year at Oklahoma State to open league play.

• Iowa State, playing without starting point guard Tyrese Haliburton, suffered a shocking loss at the hands of Florida A&M on New Year's Eve...the Cyclones led by as many as 13 in the first half and nine at halftime before being outscored by 11 points in the second half of the 70-68 loss.
• ISU was led by Bolton's career-high 29 points, while George Conditt IV added 12 points...Terrence Lewis, who made his second career start in place of Haliburton, scored 10 points.
IOWAÂ STATE-TCU SERIESÂ NOTES
• Iowa State and TCU are meeting for the 22nd time overall and 16th time since the Horned Frogs joined the Big 12 Conference in 2012-13...the Cyclones hold an 11-10 edge in the series, but TCU has won the last four meetings.
• The Cyclones are looking to snap a three-game losing streak in Fort Worth...TCU leads the series at home, 5-4.
• TCU swept a pair of games last season to take the season series...Michael Jacobson averaged 16.5 points and was 15-for-21 from the field in the two games...the Cyclones were just 2-for-20 behind the arc in the loss at TCU.
