WORTH NOTING
1. Iowa State opens February on the road for a pair of games, starting Saturday against Texas...the Cyclones went just 2-6 in January while playing one of the nation's most difficult schedules...ISU was one of just five teams nationally, and the only one not in the Big Ten Conference, to play five ranked foes in January...three of the games were on the road and two came against No. 1 Baylor.
2. Tyrese Haliburton is five three-pointers away from becoming the 21st player in school history to make 100 career three-pointers...he's just the fourth player at ISU to hit 45 threes as a freshman and sophomore.
3. Rasir Bolton is third in the Big 12 Conference averaging 15.4 points during league play...he's shooting 43.5 percent behind the arc, which is also third in the league during conference action.
4. Bolton and Haliburton are the first Big 12 teammates to eclipse the 300-point mark this season.
5. Michael Jacobson is one of six Big 12 players with at least 800 career points and 600 career rebounds.

LAST TIME OUT - CYCLONES FALL TO NO. 1 BAYLOR
• Iowa State was within five with under 13 minutes left but a 17-2 run by Baylor over the next seven minutes broke open the game as the Bears won 67-53 at Hilton Coliseum Tuesday evening.
• ISU was paced by Bolton (19) and Haliburton (17), who paired up to score 36 of ISU's 53 points...Bolton connected on 4-of-8 threes, but no other Cyclone hit a three in the game.
• The Cyclones finished 13-for-15 at the line, including a career-best 9-for-9 by Haliburton.

IOWA STATE-TEXAS SERIES NOTES
• Iowa State and Texas are meeting for the 41st time...Texas holds a 23-17 edge, including 15-2 in Austin...ISU's wins in Austin came in 2015 and 2005.
• The Cyclones and Longhorns split last season's series, with both programs winning on their home courts.
• George Conditt IV had one of the better games of his freshman season in Austin a year ago, finishing with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 16 minutes.
