Cyclones, Logue Race To Cowboy Jamboree Victory

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Iowa State women captured their second victory of the season at the Cowboy Jamboree, posting a team score of 29. The Cyclones were led by Cailie Logue, who took first place with a 6k time of 20:38.6. Logue finished 12 seconds ahead of OSU's Taylor Roe, who finished second.
The back-to-back Big 12 champ has now won eight races in her career and has four victories in her last five outings.
Logue was joined by a pack of Cardinal and Gold in the top-10 at the OSU Cross Country Course. Dana Feyen finished fifth (21:46.3), Larkin Chapman took sixth (21:54.7), Janette Schraft posted an eighth-place finish (22:02.5) and Madelynn Hill finished on her heels in ninth place (22:02.9) to give ISU five, top-10 finishers.
Grace Dickell, Winrose Chesang and Brenna Cohoon all finished in the top-20 in Stillwater. Dickell took 11th (22:05.2), Chesang finished 15th (22:14.5) and Cohoon crossed the finish line in 17th (22:19.4).
Sarah Murrow rounded out the Cyclone lineup, finishing in 77th individually (22:12.4).
Next Up
The Cyclones will now turn their focus toward the Big 12 Championship on Oct. 30. ISU will be looking to claim its eighth Big 12 crown in the last 10 years. The conference meet will be held in Lawrence, Kan. at Rim Rock Farm, where the Cardinal and Gold won earlier this season at the Bob Timmons Classic.
