1. Iowa State head coach Steve Prohm is searching for win No. 200 as a head coach...Prohm would be the eighth active Big 12 coach to reach 200 career wins...he ranks No. 25 nationally in career winning percentage among coaches with at least five years of experience and he is one of 21 coaches nationally with at least nine years of coaching experience that is averaging at least 22 wins a season.
2. Solomon Young is averaging 15.3 points and shooting 64 percent from the field the last six games...that trails only KU's Udoka Azubuike (69.5 percent) during that stretch...Young has been in double figures in eight of the last 11 contests, including all three career games scoring 20 or more points.
3. Saturday's game features two of the three Big 12 players that have 900 points and 700 rebounds in their career: Michael Jacobson and OSU's Cameron McGriff.
4. Jacobson is averaging 12.0 points and 9.8 rebounds the last four games.
5. Tre Jackson is coming off a career-best 18-point performance against TCU...he hit 4-of-7 threes and had five assists with no turnovers against the Horned Frogs.
LASTÂ TIMEÂ OUTÂ - ISU HOLDS OFF TCU
• TCU erased Iowa State's 16-point halftime lead and took a 55-53 lead with 5:18 left, but the Cyclones outscored the Frogs 12-4 the rest of the way to earn the 56-59 win at Hilton Coliseum Tuesday evening...the Cyclones held TCU to just 35.7 percent shooting.
• The Cyclones were led by Young's 20 points (8-11 FG), while Jackson chipped in a career-high 18 points (4-7 3FG) and had a career-best five assists and no turnovers...Bolton was the only other Cyclone in double figures with 11 points (6-6 FT).
• Jacobson led the Cyclones on the glass for the fourth-straight game, finishing with eight boards.
• The win snapped a five-game skid against the Horned Frogs, which was the longest running streak against Big 12 foes.
IOWAÂ STATE-OKLAHOMA STATE SERIESÂ NOTES
• Iowa State and Oklahoma State are meeting for the 132nd time in a series that has been as close as it can possibly be...ISU leads 66-65 after winning 89-82 at Hilton Coliseum on Jan. 21, its third-straight win in the series...the Cowboys own a 38-18 in games played in Stillwater, but ISU has enjoyed success in series road games of late, winning five of the last six meetings at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
• The teams have played 13 overtime games with OSU leading 7-6 in those games...since 2010, 17 of 20 games in the series have been decided by single digits.
• In the first meeting this season, ISU led for more than 38 minutes behind a career night from Solomon Young...Young finished with a career-high 27 points on 7-for-8 field-goal shooting and 13-for-15 free-throw shooting...ISU shot 51 percent in the game as Tyrese Haliburton added 20 points and Rasir Bolton chipped in 21 points...the Cyclones were 28-for-33 at the charity stripe...OSU had six players reach double figures, led by 14 each from Lindy Waters and Thomas Dziagwa.
• Haliburton and OSU's Isaac Likekele were teammates last summer on USA Basketball's U19 World Cup Gold Medal team...the duo played for Kansas State's Bruce Weber and were significant leaders for the young team, comprised mostly of high schoolers...Haliburton was named to the tournament's All-Star Five.
• Steve Prohm is 8-2 all-time against Oklahoma State and 3-2 coaching against Mike Boynton Jr.
• ISU is 391-586 against teams currently in the Big 12 Conference.
