1. Iowa State looks to improve on its 8-4 record at Hilton Coliseum.
2. Earlier this week, Tyrese Haliburton was named a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award...he leads the Big 12 with 6.6 assists and is second with a 2.71 assist-to-turnover ratio.
3. Haliburton is now inside the top-20 at the school in career assists (264) and steals (108)...he is just one three-pointer shy of becoming the 21st player in school history to make 100 career 3-pointers.
4. Iowa State and Oklahoma are the only Big 12 teams to have two players with more than 300 points this season...Rasir Bolton (338) and Haliburton (326) join the OU duo of Brady Manek (353) and Austin Reaves (322).
5. ISU is shooting 42.9 percent behind the arc the last two games.
LASTÂ TIMEÂ OUTÂ - SLOW START DOOMS CYCLONES
• No. 13 West Virginia jumped on the Cyclones early and went on to win 76-61 Wednesday evening in Morgantown...WVU shot 59.3 percent from the field in the first half and 50 percent for the game en route to the win.
• Rasir Bolton (18) and Tyrese Haliburton (12) were the only Cyclones to reach double figures...Haliburton also had five steals in the game.
• The Cyclone bench outscored the Mountaineer reserves, 23-19, led by eight points from Terrence Lewis.
IOWAÂ STATE-KANSAS STATE SERIESÂ NOTES
• Iowa State and K-State are meeting for the 230th time...the Wildcats own a 140-89 edge in the all-time series, but ISU leads 53-52 in Ames and 27-21 at Hilton Coliseum...K-State has won the last two games in Ames after ISU had won the previous six showdowns at Hilton Coliseum...ISU is 12-6 in the last 18 meetings in the series.
• The Cyclones and Wildcats split the series during the regular season a year ago, but ISU won the rubber match in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament...both teams won on the other's home court...in the Big 12 Tournament game, Michael Jacobson pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds.
• Tyrese Haliburton played for Bruce Weber last summer on USA Basketball's U19 World Cup team...the team won the Gold Medal and Haliburton was named to the tournament's All-Star Five while starting for Weber's squad...K-State freshman Dajuan Gordon was also a participant in the training camp alongside Haliburton.
• ISU head coach Steve Prohm is 6-3 against Bruce Weber and Kansas State.
• ISU is 388-583 against teams currently in the Big 12 Conference.
