AMES, Iowa – Iowa State will be represented by nine wrestlers at the NCAA Championships next weekend, set to be held in Minneapolis at US Bank Stadium. The NCAA announced today the seeds and preliminary brackets for the national championships. This is the second year that the NCAA seeded the entire field, 1-33.
The Cyclones have qualified nine wrestlers for the national championships in back-to-back seasons for the first time since the 2009 and 2010 NCAA tournament. ISU will also be one of just six school with nine or more qualifiers at this year's NCAA Championships.
The NCAA Championships are set to begin next Thursday, March 19, and will be wrestled through March 21 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. Morning sessions will be broadcast on ESPNU, with evening sessions on ESPN. As always, every match from every mat will be streamed on WatchESPN.
