AMES, Iowa – Spring volleyball is here for Iowa State, with the Cyclones opening up their spring schedule of contests on Sunday at Wisconsin. First serve between ISU and UW at the UW Field House will be at 1 p.m. in Madison.
Admission to the match will be free, with doors opening at noon. Live results will be provided by Wisconsin here.
Iowa State made it back to the NCAA Volleyball Championships in 2019, marking the 13th time in the past 14 years the Cyclones have made it to the NCAA Tournament. The Cyclones return the vast majority of the squad from last season, with only Josie Herbst graduating from the 2019 version of ISU.
This will also be a first opportunity for the Cyclones to compete with newcomer Alexis Engelbrecht, with the true freshman enrolling at Iowa State a semester early. The middle blocker has been practicing with the Cyclones throughout the spring and will be in action on Sunday.
Wisconsin finished last season 27-7, advancing all the way to the National Championship match before falling to Stanford. The Badgers return four All-Americans from that squad, including AVCA First Team All-Americans Sydney Hilley and Dana Rettke.
