The Iowa State women's basketball team meets with the media for the first time ahead of the 2021-22 season for Women's Basketball Media Day.

Aubrey is related to Ashley and that's about it, probably. Her personality is different, her game is different, her view of the world is different. When we recruited her I remember someone said 'Why would you recruit her, all she can do is shoot?' Give me 12 of them. And Aubrey can shoot. Yesterday in practice she went 9-for-10 from the 3-point line.

She's extremely talented. She is extremely athletic. She's off to a really good start. The next step for her is to be an All-Big 12 player, and aspire to be an All-American.

She does whatever we ask her to do. I tell people all the time there's 365 days in a year and we play 35 games, so there's still 330 days that you can impact this university and this program. A lot of people don't see that. The people on the outside will never see it, but the people in this building do see it...She deserves the credit, whatever she does get. She means a lot to our team, she means a lot to our staff, she means a lot to our teammates. We've had a lot of players like that, Abby Reinert's, Sarah Robson's, people that just love playing at Iowa State and love being on this team and Fred is certainly one of those people.
