Cyclones Host Alabama State Tuesday Night

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State hosts Alabama State on Tuesday night at Hilton Coliseum as it looks to build on a strong start to the season. The Cyclones can surpass their win total from a season ago and start 3-0 for the first time since the 2018-19 season with a win.

KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State plays its third-straight home game to open the season ... the Cyclones will play their first four games at home for the first time since the 2012-13 season.
- T.J. Otzelberger, who won his 100th game in the season opener, improved to 2-0 as head coach of the Cyclones ... he looks to become the fifth consecutive Cyclone coach to start 3-0.
- The Cyclones turned up the defense against Oregon State and held the Beavers to just 50 points on Friday in a 10-point win ... it was the fewest points by a power conference opponent against the Cyclones since Oklahoma State scored 50 in February of 2016.
- Gabe Kalscheur became the first Cyclone since Nick Weiler-Babb (2017-18) to lead the team in scoring in the season's first two games ... Kalscheur scored 15 in Friday's win.

- The Cyclones have snapped losing streaks of 18-straight games overall, eight home games and 25 games against power conference opponents.
