No. 12 Iowa State Hosts Prairie View A&M

AMES, Iowa - No. 12 Iowa State will look to close the calendar year and the non-conference schedule on a winning note as it takes on Prairie View A&M Sunday at 5 p.m. inside Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones will be looking to close regular season non-conference play undefeated for the 21st time under head coach Bill Fennelly.

KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State enter's Sunday's contest on a three-game win streak after beating UNI 70-69 last Sunday in Hilton Coliseum.
- The victory over the Panthers completed a 3-0 season against in-state counterparts for ISU. It marked the ninth time under Fennelly the Cyclones have finished undefeated against Drake, Iowa and UNI and the 15th time in Fennelly's tenure the Cyclones have posted the best round-robin record against in-state foes.
- Along with being No. 12 in the AP Poll and No. 13 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, ISU is at No. 12 in the Dec. 16 NCAA NET Rankings, one of four Big 12 teams among the top-25.
- The Cyclones are one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the country, ranking first in 3-pointers made (125) and third in 3-pointers per game (11.4).
- In addition, ISU is the only team in the country to boast more than one player with at least 30 treys on the season, featuring three in Aubrey Joens (39), Lexi Donarski (32) and Ashley Joens (31).
- Ashley Joens, the 2021 Cheryl Miller Award winner, leads Iowa State at 20.0 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest. She is one of five nationally to be averaging at least 20.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg.
- Point guard Emily Ryan has shown her skills on both sides of the ball. The sophomore ranks 11th nationally with her 6.1 assists per game, while her 28 total steals on the season is 25th in the country.
- Redshirt junior Morgan Kane got her first career double-double against UNI, getting 13 points and 11 rebounds.
LAST TIME OUT
- No. 15 Iowa State completed an in-state sweep for the 2021-22 season with a 70-69 win over UNI last Sunday at Hilton Coliseum.
- The Cyclones were up by 11 at the end of the first half, but UNI rallied to cut the ISU advantage to one in the final minute of the game, with the Cyclones making multiple stops on the final possession to preserve the victory.
- Lexi Donarski led Iowa State with 19 points, which included four 3-pointers. She also grabbed a career-high eight rebounds.
- Morgan Kane had her best game as a Cyclone, the redshirt junior tying her career-high with 13 points and getting a new career-best 11 rebounds for her first double-double.
- Ashley Joens chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds. Joens' scoring effort moved her to exactly 1,900 career points
