TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 20 Iowa State women started the second part of the 2020-21 cross country season with a fifth-place showing at the FSU Winter XC Classic. The field of 18 teams featured some of the nation's best distance talent.
The Cyclones were led by All-American Cailie Logue. The three-time Big 12 champ ran the 6k course in 20:09.1. Logue climbed 10 spots in the final 3k of the race. She ultimately finished runner-up, two seconds behind Stanford's Ella Donaghu.
Dana Feyen, Brenna Cohoon and Grace Dickel all turned in top-50 finishes for ISU at Apalachee Regional Park. Feyen finished 38th in 21:10.5. Cohoon took 44th with a time of 21:21.5, followed closely by Dickel in 47th in 21:25.5.
Janette Schraft, Madelynn Hill and Winrose Chesang rounded out the Cyclone lineup. Schraft raced to a 62nd-place finish (21:42.2), Hill finished 86th in 22:02.1 and Chesang crossed the finish line in 22:04.1, good for an 87th-place finish.
Larkin Chapman competed in the women's gold 6k race. She finished 22nd in a time of 22:31.4.
