FARGO, N.D. – Iowa State (24-16, 0-9 Big 12) tied a season-high by hitting three home runs in a 10-4 victory over North Dakota State (12-21, 7-5 Summit) on Saturday.
Sami Williams went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a double and two RBI to pace the Cyclones, while Logan Schaben and Carli Spelhaug also went yard.

NDSU came out of the gates fast, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Sam Koehn drove in both runs with a two-out, two-RBI double to put the Bison in front.
The Cyclones responded by exploding for six runs in the top of the second to take control. The first Iowa State run of the day crossed home plate when freshman Alyssa Orr collected a RBI on a fielder's choice that scored Milaysia Ochoa.
Senior Skyler Ramos then hit her second triple in the last two games, a shot to right center that scored both Orr and Alesia Ranches, giving Iowa State a 3-2 lead. Ramos would later score on a passed ball.
Williams put the exclamation point on the inning, crushing a two-run homer to give ISU a 6-2 advantage. It was Williams' 16th home run of the season, one shy of the single-season school record 17 she hit in 2019.
Avery Wysong hit a two-run home run for NDSU in the bottom of the third to cut Iowa State's lead to 6-4.
Carli Spelhaug launched her sixth home run of the season in the top of the fourth – a two-out, solo shot to make the ISU lead 7-4. Mikayla Ramos tallied a RBI single to center field later in the inning to add to the lead.
Following two scoreless innings, Schaben hit a two-run home run to left field, giving Iowa State a 10-4 advantage. It marked just the third time this season Iowa State has hit three home runs in a game.
Sophomore Ellie Spelhaug put in 5.2 innings of work in the circle, ringing up five strikeouts on the day while surrendering just two runs.
