AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State volleyball team will complete its first week of the preseason on Saturday with the Cardinal and Gold Scrimmage at Hilton Coliseum. First serve will be at 11 a.m. and admission is free.
Because admission is free, there will be no reserved seating for the Scrimmage, including for season ticket holders. Reserved seating will begin with the regular season opening match on Friday, Aug. 27.
Saturday will be the first chance for ISU fans to get a look at the 2021 Cyclone volleyball team prior to the season beginning in two weeks. There will be plenty of new faces for the Cyclone faithful to get accustomed to, with eight newcomers on the Iowa State roster for 2021, including four transfers. There will still be plenty of familiar names and faces, including 2021 All-Big 12 Preseason Team members Candelaria Herrera and Eleanor Holthaus, with Herrera making her first appearance back in Hilton since November after her time in Argentina playing for the Argentina Women's Volleyball National Team and at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
There will be no live video or live statistics for tomorrow's match.
