KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State returns home and steps outside of conference action Saturday with a 15-5 overall record, while sitting at 3-5 in Big 12 play.
- ISU beat Oklahoma State on the road Wednesday, snapping a 24-game conference road losing streak ... the Cyclones are one of four schools nationally with at least six Quad 1 victories.
- The Cyclones have already snapped losing streaks of 18-straight games overall, eight home games, 25 games against power conference opponents, 28 games away from Hilton Coliseum, 25 games in true road contests, 24 games to Big 12 opponents, 19 games to nationally ranked opponents and 24 conference road games.
- The Cyclones are No. 23 in the AP Top 25, having been ranked the last nine weeks.

- ISU has one of the nation's top defenses, allowing just 61.0 points per game and holding opponents to 41.1 percent shooting from the field and 26.9 percent behind the arc ... 11 of 20 opponents have scored 64 or fewer points.
LAST TIME OUT
-Â Iowa State was able to end a number of long losing streaks with an 84-81 overtime win Wednesday at Oklahoma State ... the Cyclones halted a 24-game conference road losing streak and won for the first time in 50 games when their opponent reached 40 points first ... ISU also won for the first time in 42 games when trailing with five minutes left in regulation and in 78 games when trailing with one minute left in regulation ... the game featured 28 lead changes and 15 ties with neither team leading by more than four points ... ISU shot 53.3 percent from the field and had four players reach double figures, led by Brockington's 26-point performance ... Hunter (18), Grill (15) and Conditt (10) also tallied double digits ... Robert Jones made his first start since the season opener, replacing Conditt in the lineup ... Jones had a career-high five assists and ISU dished out 21 dimes as a team ... Avery Anderson led the Cowboys with 34 points.
ISU VERSUS MIZZOU
- Iowa State and Missouri, old conference foes, will meet for the 236th time ... Mizzou owns a 150-85 edge in the series, but the Cyclones lead 59-48 in Ames and 23-20 at Hilton Coliseum.
- The first 233 games in the series were conference games before the teams split and non-con home-and-home in 2017 and 2018 ... ISU won the last meeting, 76-59, at Hilton Coliseum.
- T.J. Otzelberger is facing Missouri for the first time ... he is 1-1 against SEC teams as a head coach.
