LUBBOCK, Texas – The Iowa State women's cross country team continued to build into its form with another strong performance at the Big 12 Cross Country Championship Friday morning at Chapparal Ridge Cross Country Course. The Cyclone women finished in third place with 64 team points, the second-lowest point total in the Big 12's 10-team era.
Individually a pair of Cyclones brought home All-Big 12 honors, with Dana Feyen finishing sixth in 20:41.4 for her third career All-Big 12 nod. Madelynn Hill got her second career All-Big 12 with a seventh place run in 20:42.2.
Further down the Cyclone lineup, there were some big surges late. Kiki Connell moved up five places in the final 1,000m to finish 16th, just missing out on All-Big 12 honors in 21:34.9, while Brenna Cohoon also moved up five spots in the final 1K to take 17th in 21:36.7. Janette Schraft rounded out ISU's scoring contingent in 21st in 21:43.4.
Freshman Ashlyn Keeney again demonstrated her ability to finish strong, moving up 11 spots in the final 1,000 to take 25th in 21:55.6.
