7 – Iowa State is up to No. 7 in this week's Associated Press Top 25, the fifth different season and 22nd week overall ISU has been an AP top-seven team in program history, all of them coming under the guidance of head coach Bill Fennelly.
17 – With a win on Wednesday, Iowa State will start a season 3-0 for the 19th time in program history, the 17th time doing so under Fennelly.

Watch List season for women's college basketball is finally coming to an end, but the Cyclones are continuing to see their student-athletes' names pop up on the lists. The latest came on Tuesday, with both Ashley Joens and Lexi Donarski being named to the Preseason Top 50 Watch List for the John R. Wooden Award, given annually to the nation's top play. Both were All-Big 12 Preseason Team honorees (Joens the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year), while Joens was also named to the Jersey Mike's Naismith Player of the Year Watch List.

FOCUSED ON THE POSITIVES
Through two games, there are three Cyclones with over a +50 in +/- when on the court. Ashley Joens (+57), Lexi Donarski (+56) and Emily Ryan (+53), with Joens standing out on a per-40 minutes basis at +39 per 40 minutes. When the three are on the court together, Iowa State is +48 compared to the opposition.
