Ranked Wins Highlight Friday Action

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State picked up a pair of ranked singles win Friday as it continued action at a pair of tournaments in the final weekend of fall action.

ITA NATIONAL FALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Ange Oby Kajuru and Chie Kezuka fell to the nation's No. 22 pair from Arizona State, Patricija Spaka and Domenika Turkovic, 7-5, 6-3.

BIG 12 FALL INVITE
The Cyclones had an outstanding showing in Stillwater, Oklahoma, going 4-0 in doubles action and 4-1 in singles play.

Anna Supapitch Kuearum earned her first career ranked win, downing No. 89 Kristina Novak of Oklahoma State in come-from-behind fashion, 1-6, 6-1, 6-2.

Miska Kadleckova also earned a ranked win, beating No. 93 Ivana Corley of Oklahoma, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-2.

No. 39 Thasaporn Naklo earned a workmanlike, 6-3, 6-4, victory over Lyubov Kostenko from Baylor, while Christin Hsieh rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 win against Kansas' Jocelyn Massey.

The day got started with four doubles victories as the Cyclones put two of the four teams into the semifinals. Supapitch Kuearum and Naklo reached the semis with a 7-6 (4) win against an Oklahoma pairing, while No. 39 Kadleckova and Sofia Cabezas beat a Texas Tech pair, 6-1, in the quarterfinals.
