8 – Iowa State will begin the 2022-23 season at No. 8 in the Associated Press TOp 25, the Cyclones' second-highest starting point in a season (No. 7, 1999-00).
13 – Iowa State has been in the top-five in attendance nationally for the last 13 recorded seasons (2020-21 attendance not recorded due to Covid-19). ISU ranked second in the country with 9,567 fans per game last season.

Wednesday was National Signing Day and though the focus will be on 2022-23 at Hilton Coliseum on Thursday night, Cyclone Nation was introduced to the 2023-24 newcomers as Iowa State made five additions in Jalynn Bristow (forward, Wichita Falls, Texas), Addy Brown (forward, Derby, Kan.), Audi Crooks (center, Algona, Iowa), Arianna Jackson (guard, Des Moines, Iowa) and Kelsey Joens (guard, Iowa City, Iowa).
