Brockington Named To USBWA All-District VI Team

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior Izaiah Brockington has earned a spot on the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District VI team, based on voting from its national membership.

Brockington averaged 17 points and seven rebounds in his first season with Iowa State. The Philadelphia native was an All-Big 12 First Team selection and Big 12 Newcomer of the Year for his performance.

Brockington posted 12 20-point games during the season and had a career-best seven double-doubles. He was a six-time Big 12 weekly award winner.

Brockington and the Cyclones take the court for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 6:20 p.m. (CDT) against LSU in Milwaukee.
