KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State is looking to make a trip to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2010. The Cyclones have made five Sweet 16's in school history.
- Iowa State's selection into the NCAA Tournament field marks the 20th time the Cyclones have made the Big Dance.
- A win on Sunday would give Iowa State a school record 28 wins on the year. The Cyclones have recorded 27 wins on four occasions (1999-00, 2000-01, 2008-09, 2021-22).
- Â On Wednesday, Ashley Joens became the fourth Cyclone in school history to be named to an AP All-America Team, joining Bridget Carleton (2018-19), Angie Welle (2000-01, 2001-02) and Stacy Frese (1999-00). Joens earned Second Team honors, after being named an HM All-American the last two seasons.
- Iowa State placed a league-high three on the All-Big 12 First Team with Ashley Joens earning a unanimous nod and Lexi Donarski and Emily Ryan making their debut on the First Team. Iowa State's three All-Big 12 First Team selections also set a program record, with ISU placing two on the First Team in 2012-13.
- Â Lexi Donarski became the first Cyclone to earn Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Donarski held her primary defensive assignment in league play to just 9.3 points and 30 percent shooting.
- ISU has 340 treys on the season, setting a new single-season program record (303, 2018-19) and the most in Big 12 history (325, K-State 2012-13).
- Â Along with the barrage of 3-pointers, Iowa State is one of the most efficient 3-point shooting teams in the nation, ranking second in the country with a 38.9 percent 3-point shooting percentage.
- Ashley Joens ranks seventh in the Big 12 history with 2,343 points. She is 91 points away from passing Baylor's Nina Davis (2,433) in sixth.
- Emily Ryan has 234 assists on the season, which ranks second all-time on ISU's single season charts. She is five assists away from the ISU single-season record.
LAST TIME OUT
- No. 3 seed Iowa State was tested in Friday's NCAA First Round game against UT Arlington. The Cyclones led for just 11:18 in the game, en route to a 78-71 victory over UTA.
- Iowa State struggled from the charity stripe, shooting a season-low 57.7 percent (15-26).
- Ashley Joens had a monster performance, setting an Iowa State NCAA Tournament record with 36 points against UTA. Joens bested her own record of 33 she set in last year's NCAA Tournament against Michigan State.  Joens added 15 rebounds to record her 17th double-double on the year.
- Emily Ryan ended the night with 20 points and three rebounds to go along with her six assists. Ryan scored 11 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter, leading ISU to victory.
