AMES, Iowa – One of Iowa State's biggest contributors late in the 2021 season is hoping to go out in style as a senior in 2022. Isaiah Lee played in all 13 games last year, but his production improved dramatically in the last six games where he recorded 15 of his 21 tackles on the year.
In the Cheez-It Bowl vs. Clemson, Lee had a career-high four tackles. He is already making his presence known in spring practice and will be a key player on the defensive line in 2022.
Iowa State received a major boost at linebacker in the off-season when Colby Reeder joined the team after a distinguished career at Delaware.
Reeder competed in 35 games in his Delaware career and was an All-CAA selection in 2021 with 55 tackles, 5.5 TFL and 3.5 sacks. Having Reeder here this spring has allowed the transfer to get quality reps heading into the 2022 campaign.
Lee, Reeder and Iowa State defensive coordinator Jon Heacock met with the media today to discuss how spring practices are going.
