AMES, Iowa – Iowa State once again was tabbed an All-Academic team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) while eight Cyclones received individual All-Academic honors, announced Wednesday.
Both the men's and women's track and field team collectively recorded USTFCCCA Team All-Academic honors. The women's team registered a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and the men's squad earned a GPA of 3.03.
Four Cyclone women picked up individual All-Academic Awards. Cailie Logue collected her eighth award while Dana Feyen was honored with her third career All-Academic Award throughout track and cross country. Janette Schraft earned her second award while Antonella Creazzola attained her first career honor.
On the men's side, four also earned All-Academic honors. Thomas Pollard garnered the eighth award of his career while Wesley Kiptoo and Gable Sieperda both earned their third career honor across track and cross country. Ryan Ford became a first-time honoree.
Teams become eligible for the team award with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Student-athletes earn individual honors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or greater while ranking in either the top-96 of a championship individual event or the top-48 of a championship relay event.
